Walls

I felt odd taking these photographs. the view wasn’t a landscape, artwork or people. It was a wall.

A chap walked past me and stopped. He looked at me, what I was doing, and then the wall. “I’ve been walking past this wall for the past 30 years” he said, “and I have never seen those before.” A few people paused and looked.

The carvings are not in situ. They have been re-used in the south side of Winchester Cathedral. Go to the main east entrance and follow the path along to the south side. They are just there in the small passage way leading towards the Deanery and the Close. You can’t miss them. Unless you live there.
